Supports Physician Office Orders Workflow

Order Facilitator captures all orders for outpatient services (scheduled or unscheduled) from physicians throughout a community using three different methods:

1. Online (via the Web) - Physician office staff can send an online order, electronically signed by the physician, in 30-60 seconds. Every order is complete, legible, signed and checked for medical necessity and/or payer authorization rules.

2. EMR Integration (New!) - If the physician office uses an EMR, then Order Facilitator can receive the physician's order via an HL7 interface. All major EMR vendors are supported and with SCI's unique design, this integration is easy to implement and maintain. Integrated EMR orders are also checked for medical necessity and/or payer authorization rules.

3. Inbound Fax - For offices that prefer low-tech, SCI can capture faxed orders into the Order Facilitator database and enable them to be converted into electronic orders without ever losing the original image. Upon receipt, the hospital can check faxed orders for medical necessity compliance too.
